Being a Gujarati Jain and having graduated from a commerce background, Parag Shah started his career by joining the family construction business in the year 1991. In the year 2002, with his ability, business acumen, entrepreneurial skills and vision he founded Man Infraconstruction Ltd. Under his strong leadership, the Company was listed in the year 2010. He has a rich experience of about 25 years in the construction industry and has directly or indirectly generated employment for thousands of individuals over the years.

Parag Shah is a Philanthropist and under the aegis, blessings and guidance of his Gurudev Shri Param Pujya MS Namramuni Ji, a Jain Monk, he staunchly supports humanitarian causes and is committed to community services. He is associated with many social, charitable, religious trusts, animal welfare associations and NGO’s. Having a strong belief in empowering and uplifting of the weaker section of the society, he has actively participated in promoting Health Care and was instrumental in opening the Medical Centre at the Lions Club of Ghatkopar, Garodia Nagar Community Hall, provision and installation of the dialysis center. His strong affection towards animals motivated him to take preventive measures against cruelty on animals and has promoted animal welfare by providing financial support to gaushalas which provides shelter, fodder & medicines to the animals. He is also actively involved in providing education and encouraging the all-round development of students. He also encourages differently-abled people by providing them special education. He is a Trustee for Parasdham, Shree Uvasaggahar Sadhna Trust, Praneshwar Mahadev Trust, Shree Camagali Vardhaman Sthanakwasi Jain Shravak Sangh, and Shree Tapashviji Manekchandji Trust at Jetpur and other various NGO’s. He is the President of Shree Greater Bombay Vardhaman Sthanakwasi Jain Maha Sangh.

Parag Shah with the intention of serving the community from a bigger platform joined politics and was elected as a Bhartiya Janta Party Municipal Councillor from Ghatkopar East, Ward No.132 in February 2017. Immediately after getting elected as the Municipal Councillor – Ward 132, Parag Shah formed a team of volunteers, and invited experts like Engineers, Architects, Doctors, Chartered Accountants and involved them in implementation of various schemes for the betterment and development of Ghatkopar. A dedicated team working resolutely under Parag Shah got deployed in Ward No. 132 to work actively with departments like BMC, Traffic Police, RTO, Railways, etc. On being elected he deployed an Ambulance which runs free of cost for the use of people from all castes and community. Parag Shah involved the RTO and traffic department for better management and smooth flow of traffic and installed dividers, signals and deployed traffic wardens (who are on his payroll) in certain key locations having perpetual traffic blockages. Under his leadership, Whatsapp Number – 7045671008 was launched, where the Ghakoparites could log in their complaints and have Parag Shah’s team resolve the issue. The team has been able to resolve the complaints with a 99% success rate. An initiative was taken up by him for the Concretization of the Garodia Nagar roads which were in abeyance for many years. The roads were concretized and successfully completed this year. This prevented waterlogging, ensured smooth traffic movement and provided safe passage for Garodia School children and citizens of Garodia Nagar. He also took up the initiative of beautification of Gardens in his ward 132 by cleaning up the gardens, installing proper lights, pathways, creating a dense forest, installing benches, etc. Parag Shah has planted over 9000 plants and trees.

Parag Shah is a trustee of Shri Ramji Ashar Vidhyalay High School, Ghatkopar from where he completed his schooling. He was actively involved in the construction of a new building for starting an English Medium School. After the heinous act of Pulwama attacks, He launched a drive to collect funds for the Army Welfare Association and collected Rs.40.00 Lakhs from the Citizens and as committed to Ghatkoparites topped up the collection with an equal personal contribution of Rs.40.00 Lakhs and donated the fund of Rs.80.00 Lakhs to the Army Welfare Association. The recent unfortunate floods in Maharashtra created havoc and displaced lakhs of people in Sangli and Kolhapur. Parag Shah personally contributed by handing over a Cheque of Rs.25.00 Lakhs to the Chief Ministers Relief Fund and also collected another Rs.18.00 Lakhs from the citizens and also provided flood relief material like medicines, clothes, utensils, etc.

Parag Shah recently gave up his position as the Managing Director of his company and stepped back from business activities to devote his full attention and time for his various Religious, Social and Political activities.
